This field guide was created by students in Mrs. Kirsten Dibblee’s Marine 10 Science
class at Parkland Secondary School. Each entry reflects research, observation, and
documentation carried out by students during class studies and field trips throughout
the year.
As a final project, students selected a species to study in depth, learning how to
conduct research, organize information, and present it in a clear, structured format.
This project brings together their knowledge of marine and coastal ecosystems while
developing skills in scientific observation, writing, and visual presentation.
